Los Guys founding fathers after organizational meeting at Z-Bar in Fort Bend County
About Us
The club name Los Guys (Those Guys) started as a passing comment made by friends of our founding fathers who would often see them out riding their motorcycles. They started joking with their other friends in a Cheech and Chong type accent "There goes los guys" and the nickname stuck. It was later learned that Los Guys was the name of Cheech and Chong's band in one of their famous movies"Up in Smoke" when a member of the club noticed Cheech and Chong's license plate had LOS GUYS on it. In 2007, this group of guys, through some family relationships, began hanging out with another group of riders in the community and the idea of forming a club became a recurring conversation.
In 2008, the group of guys began researching motorcycle, riding and social club history and learning about the prominent clubs in the area. There are a number of 1%er clubs in the Greater Houston area and with a full knowledge of the commitment required to be part of a Motorcycle Club (MC), the group opted for a more relaxed Riding Club (RC) format. Most of the Los Guys have family and small businesses commitments that give them some flexibility for club activities. In early 2009, the club logo was officially voted in, policies and proceedures were enacted, club protocol training began, interim officers were put in place, and the club began the process of AMA membership and introducing itself to the dominant area clubs as well as applying for COC (Confederation fo Clubs) membership. The club also initiated patch over discussions with the Roamin Riders.
Our club interests are based on enjoying the great Texas and U.S. roadways on American motorcycles, comraderie, rider education, supporting the rights of the motorcycling community, and participating in charitable activities. We value family, fun, friendship, safety and the protection of our rights and freedoms!
